Tour of Ancient Greece (PowerPoint Presentations) 6 th Grade Social Studies Mr. Wiegand

Goal:   To better understand the contributions of the Ancient Greeks to our world today.

Students will use note-taking skills to gather facts about their topics.   Each student should gather 50-75 facts about the topic he/she is researching.   The facts you gather must include 2 "print" and 2 "online" sources.

*ALL SOURCES MUST BE CITED!   You cannot receive a grade higher than a "C-" without a works cited page.

The area/question of focus for the presentations is:

         How did the Ancient Greek legacies affect our world in 2008?

Step 1:   Students will research their topics in pairs
Step 2: Students will prepare their PowerPoint presentations
Step 3: Students will present their projects to the class
Step 4: Students will reflect and "grade" themselves

Book
