BROOKLAWN ATHLETICS
Get involved on the field or court!

To be eligible to participate on a school athletic team, students must first obtain a permission form and physical card from the coach.  After completing and returning these, they must have obtain a physical from their own doctor and be cleared by the nurse to try out. Usually there are more students trying out than there are places available. While the coaches try to keep as many students as possible on the team, cuts are inevitable.  However, most sports also maintain a junior varsity squad that is given some opportunity to compete.

Students that become part of a school athletic team are required to sign and abide by a Code Of Conduct, which is printed in the Student Handbook and also available from the Athletic Director (Mr. Totka). Team practices are held after school Monday through Friday, and parents are expected to pick up their children after practice, usually about 5:15.

Games are held after school, both at Brooklawn and away at other schools.  Most games start at about 4:00 - the complete schedule of games for each sport is available at the school, as well as on the Official School Website.  School Bus transportation is provided for each team to its away games.  While parents cannot ride on these buses, they are encouraged to come to the away games - directions are available from the coaches or the main office.
