EMERGENCY CLOSINGS

Signup for District Notifications to receive email and text message right to your phone. It's the quickest way to be contacted about school closings, delayed openings and early dismissals. It's even faster than the PTA phone chain!

The PTA Phone Chain Committee calls parents or emergency contacts for school closings, delayed openings (Eastlake opens at 10:45am) and unexpected early dismissals. This is a voluntary program. You must provide your Emergency Contact Information to the Eastlake PTA in order to be called.

School closings prior to the start of the day are posted on the Parsippany Troy Hills District Website and announced by these stations:

RADIO:	WMTR 1250 AM	WNNJ 1360 AM	WAWZ 99.1 FM
TV:	News 12 NJ	NBC - Channel 4

One blast of the fire siren will be sounded at 6:30am for closings related to weather. Please do not call the school, the police, or the Board of Education. These lines must remain open for emergency calls.

SNOW DAYS = 3

The District School Calendar provides for 3 days where the school can close, usually due to excessive snow or icey roads. Should school need to close more than 3 days the extra days will be taken back from the Spring break.

Should less than 3 snow days be needed, the Board of Education will give back the days off. Give back days will be announced in early April.
