CHILD SAFE PROGRAM To ensure the safe arrival of all students to school each day, we have initiated a "child safe" program. When your child is going to be absent or arrive late, you must call the school at The message must include your name, your child's name, your child's teacher, and the reason for absence or tardiness. If no call is received I will contact you or your emergency contact to ensure your child is safe. Please call each day that your child will be absent. Upon returning to school, send absence and late notes to your child's teacher. |
VISION & HEARING
Seeing clearly and hearing well help children perform optimally in the classroom setting. Screenings for vision and hearing are done in the nurse's office throughout the year. If your child does not pass the hearing or vision screening, a form will be sent home to you. Please schedule a doctor's appointment and return the form to me when it is completed by the doctor. |

COMMUNICABLE DISEASE Prevention of the spread of communicable diseases (such as chicken pox, strep throat, conjunctivitis, etc.) in schools and other places where children gather calls for cooperation between home and school. The first step in the control of communicable diseases is the knowledge of when and where these diseases occur. The district's Communicable Disease Policy outlines the diseases that are reportable to the school. |
