With two-thirds of the school year completed the students have shown improvement in all academic areas as well as personal growth in taking responsibility for their own education.
MATHEMATICS:
Students have mastered (we hope) adding and subtracting and the concepts of multiplying. In the final months of the school year we will focus our attention on measurement, including time and distance.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Students learned how to write in a cursive manner and are honing that skill. Classes are exploring the genre of biography and are researching prominent people in preparation of making presentations to their classmates.
SCIENCE:
We are coming to the conclusion of the second theme in Science. Materials will soon be rotated and each class will begin the third and final field of study, or may already have done so.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Students will learn about economic concepts and the workings of our government as we move ahead in our Social Studies curriculum.
FIELD TRIP:
In June, we will be visiting Lenne Lenape Park at the Knoll Country Club for our field trip to Native Lands. We’re all excited about this special day.
