Mrs. Brazicki, Mrs. Hemenway, Miss Tiesi

We worked very hard through the third marking period, and are practicing our skills for the upcoming NJ ASK testing.

Mathematics:  

We are learning about fractions and measurement, which includes, time, length, liquid volume and mass.

Language Arts: 

We are continuing to explore strategies that help with comprehension and vocabulary. We have been investigating stories that explore the concepts of diversity, tolerance, fairness, and respect for others.

Science: 

All three of the third grades are learning about different Science themes, and we are still rotating them so that all of the classes get to experience all of the themes, the water cycle and weather will be our main topics in the upcoming marking period.

Social Studies: 

Our units are focusing on communities, citizenship, and local government. Students in Mrs. Brazicki and Mrs. Hemenway’s classes are also creating Power Point presentations about their cultures and traditions.  Miss Tiesi’s class will be creating Power Point presentations about their community. 

Extra News: 

The K-Kids Club are working on a project to support the Parsippany Police Officers who ride on the Police Unity Tour.
