Spring Art Projects!
Happy Spring! We have finished our Design projects and they can soon be seen displayed on the website www.Artsonia.com! We explored Architecture and how nature, culture and technology have inspired the design of buildings. We used the Elements of Art (Line, Shape and Color) to create our own unique designs in Architecture. I am really enjoying displaying the artwork online and seeing all of the wonderful communication between students and their parents, friends and relatives. I love reading the encouraging words for our artists and I am happy we get to share the work with so many more people! Please consider leaving an encouraging comment for your special artist.
Did you know you can photograph your child's personal artwork at home and upload it to their Personal Gallery on Artsonia? For iphone and ipad users, there is an app for Artsonia to help make it even easier. Or you can still upload pictures of artwork right from your camera to your computer and then upload it to Artsonia.
We will be starting our Portrait projects soon and they will be added to the Artsonia display in June. I am working on organizing our display on Artsonia so that you can view artwork by project and class. At any time you can search by artist by using your child's screen name and go directly to their page.

It is hard to believe it is already spring and we are beginning the last marking period of the school year. The instrumental music students have been extremely busy this winter learning many new skills and strengthening the skills they have already learned. Our beginning band students are now performing full band arrangements. Our advanced students are working on the skills necessary to have a smooth transition and positive experience when they enter the middle school band. We look forward to sharing our accomplishments with you at our Spring Concert. This will be held on June 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Parsippany Hills High School auditorium.
