FUNDRAISER CLARIFICATION

Band fund raisers held throughout the school year either raise money for the Band Boosters' General Fund or raise money that is deposited directly into the Students' individual accounts.

ALL PROFITS made by selling ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS and CHEESECAKES will go directly into the Students' individual accounts. Records of these accounts are accurately kept by the Treasurer. Funds deposited into these Student Accounts are used for any Band Trips. Every two years, the band takes a field trip to Walt Disney World, Washington D.C., Canada, Myrtle Beach, or some similar music festival site. The more an individual student raises on his/her own in sales, the less he/she will have to pay for any Band Field Trip. The funds in individual student accounts are carried over each year until a student graduates, or until the funds are exhausted by Field Trip costs. If a graduating Band Member has a younger sibling in the Band Program, these funds will be transferred to the younger sibling's account. Once the youngest sibling graduates, any leftover funds in these individual accounts will be absorbed into the Band Boosters' General Fund.
