The Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education offers a Preschool Program to residents at the Lake Hiawatha Elementary School, 1 Lincoln Avenue, Lake Hiawatha and the Eastlake School, 40 Eba Road, Parsippany.
To be eligible, children must be 3 or 4 years of age by October 1, 2009. More detailed information is provided in the Preschool Parent Handbook.
There are morning sessions from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. for three year olds and afternoon sessions for 4 year olds from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The monthly tuition for either session, 5 days a week is $300.00 and $180.00 for 3 days a week.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Preschool program uses The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. This research-based program includes goals and objectives that target social and emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. The Creative Curriculum is aligned with the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Expectations. Classroom centers include blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, art, library, discovery sand and water, music and movement, cooking, computers, and outdoors.
