Troy Hills Travels DayOn Thursday February 11th, all Troy Hills students and staff members participated in the annual "Troy Hills Travels Day" of multicultural sharing. A large group of Parsippany High School Seniors, from the AP French, Italian and Spanish World Language classes, prepared presentations for the younger children. The PHS students presented about countries such as Madagascar, Italy, Argentina, Spain, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Columbia and Canada. Six of the PHS students are alumni of Troy Hills School's first "Troy Hills Travels Day" which was held nine years ago, when the PHS students were fourth graders!

Many parents and grandparents of Troy Hills students, as well as Troy Hills School staff members and students, volunteered to share about their cultural heritage throughout the day. Countries such as China, Guatemala, Germany, India, Pakistan, Turkey, the Dominican Republic, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Cameroon and the Philippines were represented. Younger children listened to a Yiddish folktale from Eastern Europe. Students had their "passports" stamped in each country that was visited. Many students and staff members dressed in clothing that represented their cultural heritage, as well. All students enjoyed marching to some wonderful "world music" as part of the culminating activity, a "Parade of Nations."
