Important Immunization Message for 2010-11 6th Grade Parents and Students

New immunization legal requirements were adopted by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services in December, 2007.
These requirements were put into effect beginning in September, 2008.

Parents will be REQUIRED to provide proof that their child has met the following immunization requirements:

Children born on or after January 1, 1997 and entering grade 6 MUST receive the below immunizations:

Tdap: Booster prior to entry into sixth grade (not less than (5) years from last tetanus booster.

Meningococcal: ALL children prior to entry into grade six (6) or on 11th birthday.

PROOF of immunization MUST be turned in PRIOR to the first day of school in September, 2010.

All Parsippany students to Re-Register by June 4, 2010

New GDL laws for Teen Drivers Begin May 1, 2010

May 1 is Deadline for Teen Driver Decals in NJ
A red, rectangular decal that attaches to the upper left side of the front and rear license plates, signifying for police that the driver is a teenager with a provisional license, will be required as of May 1 for any provisional or graduated license holder. Drivers who fail to do so face a $100 fine. The decals go on sale April 12 at local motor vehicle agency offices.
