Board of Education Meeting
Thursday, September 11, 2014, 7:00PM Closed Session, 7:30 Regular Session
Board of Education Building
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! We hope that you are enjoying your summer and gearing up for an exciting year. The school year begins with 6th and 9th grade orientation on Wednesday, September 3rd, and the first full day for students on Thursday, September 4, 2014.
Our Back-to-School Nights are designed for you to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about the upcoming school year. Don’t miss this important night! Please click here to view the dates and mark your school’s date in your calendar. Student achievement starts when parents, guardians, and teachers work together.
Genesis access will open for parents and staff on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 8:00AM. Student schedules and bus passes will be available, but no schedules or bus passes will be mailed. Questions regarding schedules or any other Genesis information should be directed to the principal (elementary) or the school counselor (secondary). Please understand that these schedules are considered preliminary and so prior to the first day of school on September 4, 2014, there may be minor adjustments made to this information. Parents are therefore encouraged to wait until the week prior to the start of school to print their child’s information. Any parent who needs a schedule or bus pass printed should request such in person from the child’s school.
These questions and answers are intended to let the community know answers to questions that were raised at our Board of Education Meetings.
Accessible starting on December 3, 2012, the Parent Access Module, provided by Genesis Educational Services, is a safe and secure way of enabling parents to access their own students' records using the Internet. You can access the PTHSD Parent Module at Genesis Parent Access. If you have not yet signed up for the Parent Module, please contact your child’s school.
Our district uses SchoolMessenger Notification System to provide timely communication to parents and staff members on matters such as district emergencies and general interest activities. In order to enhance our ability to accurately deliver that information, please create your own contact preference profile using SchoolMessenger’s Contact Manager website.
The Contact Manager feature allows you to control the ways in which you prefer to be contacted. It also works like a mailbox, giving you a place to review messages you may have missed. FAQs
