NSO teacher group

Parsippany-Troy Hills administrators greeted the new staff at their orientation for the 2025-2026 school year. A mix of excitement, anticipation, and nervous energy filled the Parsippany High School Media Center as they began their journey with the district.

The first few weeks of school can be overwhelming, which is why our NSO workshops, designed by our Administrators, are developed to help guide new staff members through the challenges they will face with academics, effective instruction, use of technology, evaluations, Board Policies, and communication between staff, students, and parents.

The new teachers start the day by getting their Chromebooks so they are ready with the technology and tools they need to begin a successful year in Parsippany. They learn how to design lessons to reach mastery, how to transform their classrooms into productive learning environments, learn helpful classroom management tips, and build on positive expectations to help our students be successful. They began their workshops with a Strategic Goals Overview, Professional Responsibilities, Building a Classroom Community and a Thinking Classroom, How to… in Genesis, Family and community Outreach, Business Office procedures, Technology and learning about AI, and Human Resources overviews,  just to name a few.

In addition to all of the important information covered during NSO, we want to make sure our new staff members feel welcomed to the district, supported in their work, comfortable starting the year and excited about working with our incredible students.
